1. ESTIMATES & PRICING

Estimates are Non-Binding: Any quote provided over the phone or online is a rough estimate based on the description provided. The final price is determined on-site by the Lead Technician once the total volume, weight, and difficulty of the job are assessed.
Capacity: Pricing is primarily based on the volume of space your items occupy in our trailer/truck. Heavy materials (dirt, concrete, gravel) are billed by \"Bed Load\" rates due to weight restrictions.
Additional Fees: We reserve the right to apply surcharges for items requiring special handling, including but not limited to: tires, mattresses, appliances with Freon, and items located in difficult-to-access areas (e.g., attics, crawlspaces).

2. PROHIBITED ITEMS (HAZARDOUS MATERIALS)

Strict Prohibition: For the safety of our team and the environment, The Junk Hunter cannot accept: hazardous waste, chemicals, gasoline/oil, paint (liquid), asbestos, medical waste, sealed drums, or ammunition.
Liability for Undisclosed Hazmat: If hazardous materials are concealed within the junk (e.g., paint cans inside a box) and loaded onto our truck, the Client accepts full financial responsibility for any resulting fines, cleanup costs, or environmental fees incurred by The Junk Hunter.

3. OWNERSHIP & TRANSFER OF PROPERTY

Transfer of Title: Once items are loaded onto The Junk Hunter’s vehicle and the team leaves the premises, ownership of the items transfers immediately to The Junk Hunter.
Disposal Discretion: We reserve the sole right to determine whether items are donated, recycled, resold, or disposed of in a landfill.
Lost Items: It is the Client’s responsibility to check all drawers, pockets, and containers before removal. We are not responsible for accidental removal of items not intended for disposal if they were mixed in with the junk.

4. ACCESS, DRIVEWAYS & LIABILITY

Driveway Acknowledgment: Our trucks and dump trailers are heavy. While we take every precaution to avoid damage, The Junk Hunter is not liable for damage to driveways, pavers, or curbs caused by the weight of the truck/trailer or clear scraping marks necessitated by loading heavy debris.
Curbside Pickups: If the Client opts for a \"Curbside Discount,\" items must be accessible at the curb or driveway prior to arrival. The Junk Hunter is not liable for damage to the property (lawns, sprinklers, vehicles) that occurs while the Client is moving items to the curb.
Incidental Damage: For in-home removals, while we use care, minor scuffs to walls, floors, or door frames are sometimes inherent to the moving process. The Client agrees that The Junk Hunter is not liable for minor incidental damage unless caused by gross negligence.

5. LIGHT DEMOLITION (SHEDS, DECKS, HOT TUBS)

Utilities: The Client is solely responsible for ensuring all utilities (gas, water, electricity) are disconnected and capped before our arrival. The Junk Hunter is not liable for damage to utility lines that were not properly disconnected or disclosed.
Underground Lines: For fence or deck removal involving digging, we are not liable for damage to underground sprinkler lines, cables, or pipes that were not clearly marked by the Client.

6. PAYMENT & CANCELLATION

Payment Terms: Payment is due in full immediately upon completion of the job. We accept cash, credit cards, and business checks.
Late Fees: Unpaid invoices after 30 days will accrue a late fee of 10% per month.
Cancellation: We request at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations. Cancellations made within 2 hours of the scheduled arrival window may be subject to a $50 trip fee.

7. DONATION RECEIPT POLICY

No Guarantee: While we strive to donate usable items, we cannot guarantee that a charity will accept specific items. Tax receipts are provided only if and when a charity accepts the donation and issues a receipt.
